Adult and Family Sanchin-Ryu/Advanced Youth Sanchin-Ryu (all ages)
The art of Sanchin-Ryu is taught in a way that allows adult students to grow and learn at their own pace. We've found that this builds self-confidence, helps understand stress management and increases composure and self-defense awareness. This program is also a great family activity! Common sense self-defense ideas and techniques are examined and instructed. The Advanced Youth Sanchin-Ryu program is held in conjunction with this program. Youth students ranking Green Belt (2nd level) and above continue their Sanchin-Ryu training.

Volunteer Community Service
The Vicksburg Community Schools S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Volunteer Program is in its 21st year of operation. During the 2006-07 school year, we logged over 10,000 hours in our elementary schools, middle school, and high school.
Volunteer Coordinators in each building organize the volunteers and activities. Without their hard work and dedication, the volunteer program, as we know it, would cease to function.
The goal of the Vicksburg Volunteer Program is to increase parent, citizen, and student involvement to improve the quality of education. Thank you to everyone who is helping, or has helped, us meet and exceed this goal.
For information on how you can become a volunteer, please call the Community Education office at 321-1021. For your convenience, we have provided volunteer forms here for download/viewing online (Adobe Acrobat Reader required - free download on our site's home page). When you have completed the form, please return it to Carrie Harris at Vicksburg Community Education, 301 S. Kalamazoo Ave., Vicksburg MI 49097 or stop in between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays.
